Senior Corporal David Myers, 56, was headed north on West Road around 1:40 p.m and was crossing a wooden bridge at the time of the accident, Texas Department of Public Safety spokesman Trooper James Colunga said.

He said Myers died at the scene. The creek bed is about 11 feet below the bridge, according to Colunga.
