The man, who was wanted for assault with a deadly weapon, fled for nearly an hour until police successfully attempted a PIT maneuver that sent the SUV into a dirt bank on the side of the road, according to NBC Los Angeles.

The suspect left his vehicle and attempted to flee on foot until he was tackled by a deputy. He was taken into custody with no injuries, according to FOX 11.

Officials told NBC Los Angeles that one deputy was injured, but did not release any other details.
