PHOENIX — A murder suspect was fatally shot by police after stealing two cars and leading officials on a high-speed pursuit.
AZCentral.com reported that the man matched a description of a suspect in a fatal shooting at an apartment complex. Police attempted to pull him over Wednesday when he fled.
Police said they heard gunshots while searching for the suspect and found he had stolen a truck at gunpoint. Later, he crashed the truck into a barber shop before he stole the Corvette involved in the pursuit, News12 reported. The business was completely destroyed.
Video shows the suspect running red lights, driving the wrong way and traveling at dangerous speeds before an undercover officer rams the Corvette, ending the pursuit.

According to News12, the suspect exited the vehicle and two officers fatally shot him.
Sgt. Alan Pfohl told AZCentral.com they are unsure whether the suspect threatened officers before he was killed. A weapon was discovered inside the stolen vehicle.
No bystanders were hurt during the pursuit. Police have not identified the man yet.
An investigation is ongoing.
