When you remove a subject from the back seat of your squad, be sure to check the back seat. Although you should have searched the individual thoroughly before transport, it’s always a good idea to double check to be sure he hasn’t tried to ditch anything during the ride…particularly a hidden weapon that could be picked up by your next guest. It’s a simple, quick thing to integrate into your routine and the implications for your safety are considerable.
