FORSYTH COUNTY, Ga. — Two law enforcement agencies are having a bit of fun while also stepping up their recruitment efforts.

According to WSB-TV2, the East Point Police Department in Georgia had a billboard put up on McFarland Parkway, which is within Forsyth County limits. The Forsyth County Sheriff’s Office took to Facebook in an epic comparison post between the two agencies. They crossed out a portion of the East Point recruitment billboard, adding, “Thanks for playing.”

Both agencies are currently hiring and, according to the billboard, East Point officers can earn starting pay of $55,000 along with education pay incentives. In the social media comparison post, the Forsyth County Sheriff’s Office pointed out that pay for a deputy sheriff starts at $62,000. Deputies also get a take-home vehicle and healthcare as low as $52 per month.

“Nice try, East Point Police. B+ for effort! Thanks for playing,” the post read.

East Point responded back in a comment, saying, “Thanks for the B+! We will keep working hard for that A!”

But it was all in good fun. “Brotherly love, stay safe and good luck to all of us in this recruiting nightmare,” Forsyth County responded back.
