MAGNA, Utah — Police arrested two suspects Monday after around $10,000 of equipment was stolen from an undercover SWAT vehicle early Saturday.

According to Fox 13, the theft was part of multiple vehicle break-ins and burglaries within the same area.

An AR-15, pistol, shotgun, ammunition, uniforms, body armor, a helmet and a police badge were all stolen in the incident, according to the report.

Despite the weapons being locked in a case, the suspects were able to gain access through a tool.

Detectives received several tips after a news report of the incident was aired, which led to the arrests of the two men.

Police say some, but not all, of the weapons have been recovered. Police would not say which specific items remain unaccounted for.

The suspects have not been charged, but are likely to face a charge of felony possession of stolen firearms, at the very least, Fox 13 reported.
