CINCINNATI, Ohio — Nine people - including a police officer - were involved in a two-car crash at the corner of Dixie Highway and Donaldson Road in Erlanger Monday afternoon.
Police said Erlanger Police Officer Darryl Jouett was driving east on Donaldson around 3:30 p.m. in his cruiser, with emergency lights and sirens on. When he entered the intersection, his cruiser was struck by a Nissan Pathfinder traveling north on Dixie Highway.
Jouett was taken to St. Elizabeth Medical Center South with non-life-threatening injuries.
The driver of the car, Asima Rizvic, 34, of Independence, was not injured. Seven teenagers were in the vehicle, five of whom were taken to St. Elizabeth and St. Luke Hospital West with non-life-threatening injuries.
Police are still investigating the accident.
