Police are searching for four people who used a shotgun and a stun gun to rob a 25-year-old man staying at a Scottsdale hotel.
The armed robbery occurred about 9:15 p.m. Sunday at the Marriott Residence Inn, 6040 N. Scottsdale Road.
Sgt. Doug Dirren, spokesman for the Scottsdale Police Department, said the victim had apparently met the robbers earlier in the evening and had invited them back to his hotel room.
“An unknown suspect pointed a shotgun at the victim and forced him to the ground while another unknown suspect stunned the victim in the back with the stun gun,” he said.
Dirren said the other two ransacked the victim’s room and stole two laptop computers, jewelry, two watches and cash.
The robbers, who are described as three Hispanic males and a white female, fled in a dark-colored fourdoor sedan, Dirren said.
