CLEVELAND, Ohio — The Cleveland Police Department may have just taken the viral “Dolly Parton Challenge” to a new level.

Those who have been on social media in the last week have surely seen the challenge, in which people post four pictures of themselves suitable for LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram and Tinder. Mariah Carey, Gal Gadot, Miley Cyrus, Justin Timberlake and Eminem are among the celebrities who have joined in on the fun.

But Cleveland’s police department is now using the meme to track down alleged criminals.

Scott Mizsei is wanted for aggravated burglary, among other charges, authorities say. So the Cleveland Police Department posted four photos of him in the form of the viral challenge to help find him.

The Cleveland Police Department thanked a United Kingdom police station for inspiring its post. Three days after Dolly Parton instigated the challenge, the Durham Constabulary used the meme format to spread the word about a case of its own.

Many applauded the Cleveland Police Department for the post.

“Brilliant, best post I’ve seen this year,” Maria Bennett said.

“Whoever is in charge of social media at Cleveland Police needs a promotion,” said Emma Dawson.
