CHARLOTTE HALL, Md. — Officers came upon a bizarre scene after responding to a disturbance call Monday.
Cpl. Yingling received a call regarding property damage at a local store, according to the St. Mary’s County Sheriff’s Office’s Twitter.
But when he arrived, there was no human suspect found, only a beaver.
“Animal control safely rescued the beaver and released him/her to wildlife rehabilitation,” the department wrote.
According to WUSA9, no injuries were reported.
