CLEVELAND — A murder victim’s family member lunged at the suspect in a courtroom during a victim-impact statement.

James Henderson III pleaded guilty Wednesday to the November 2014 murders of his best friend Ja’Rio Taylor, 18, Lemon Bryant, 60, Shaylona Williams, 17, and Sherita Johnson, 41, who was pregnant when she died, WBTV reported. A 9-year-old was also grazed by one of Henderson’s bullets.

While addressing Henderson, one victim’s brother, Delray Sanders, became more and more frustrated with Henderson.

“You are so pitiful as a person,” Sanders said. “Now I’m the oldest child in my family. I’m going to do everything in my willpower to make sure everybody in my family has everything and then some.”

Sanders then lunged at Henderson and was removed from the courtroom by police. A judge then ordered a brief recess.

According to WBTV, when police arrested Henderson six months after the murders, he still had the murder weapon in his belt. The Daily Mail reported that Henderson was sentenced to five consecutive life sentences without the possibility of parole.
