TUCSON — After Officer Brandon Tatum attended a rally for presidential hopeful Donald Trump, he made a video telling viewers his experience wasn’t what he expected, Washington Times reported.
Tatum attended a March 19 rally to judge for himself what Trump supporters are like but found the protesters were actually the ones who bothered him the most.
“I could not believe what I saw,” Officer Tatum said in the video. “I’m talking about cussing and screaming. … There was somebody wearing a Klu Klux Klan hat saying ‘F’ Donald Trump, flipping people off.”
Tatum was shocked and appalled by the protesters’ behavior as families were in attendance at the political rally.
Tatum also condemned the media for their presentation of Trump.
“I’m an African-American man,” Tatum said. “I had no problems with people going against me and trying to hurt me and trying to kick me out. They’re calling [Trump] a racist … and the funny thing is, these people are the most hateful, evil people that I have ever seen.”
Tatum said he gained a new perspective after the rally.
The video garnered over 740,000 views.
