CHICAGO — Motorola Solutions has announced new strategic alliances with BRINC, a developer of drone technology for first responders, and SkySafe, a provider of counter-drone and airspace awareness solutions, according to a company release.

The company said the integrations aim to support public safety agencies and critical infrastructure providers by delivering improved situational awareness, aiding in de-escalation efforts and enhancing response capabilities in high-risk incidents.

BRINC’s specialized drones are designed to provide live video and two-way communication, enabling officers to assess threats and communicate with individuals inside buildings without entering potentially dangerous environments. The company’s drones are often used during hostage situations, search-and-rescue missions, and natural disaster response.

SkySafe’s platform provides real-time monitoring and analysis of drone activity in the airspace. Its cloud-based solutions allow public safety agencies and infrastructure operators to track both authorized and unauthorized drones, which the company says is increasingly important as the use of unmanned aerial systems continues to rise.

Motorola Solutions said these alliances reflect its broader strategy to bring together innovative technologies that strengthen safety operations. By integrating BRINC and SkySafe capabilities into its existing portfolio — which includes voice communications, video security and command center software — Motorola aims to offer more comprehensive tools for mission-critical operations. With these integrations, BRINC drones can deploy at the press of a button on a radio, respond to new sensor alerts and provide real-time aerial intelligence directly into Motorola Solutions’ public safety solutions, according to a BRINC release.

“These strategic alliances demonstrate our commitment to providing agencies with the technologies they need to stay ahead of emerging threats,” said Mahesh Saptharishi, executive vice president and chief technology officer at Motorola Solutions, in a statement. “Together with BRINC and SkySafe, we’re delivering solutions that enhance safety outcomes for communities and the people who protect them.”
