Resources to help your human trafficking investigations

Many law enforcement investigators have received much-needed training on the prevalence of human trafficking, but very few have actually participated in a human trafficking case. But there are resources out there to assist you, starting with:

Remember that although the universe of people with expertise in human trafficking is still relatively small, and there may be another investigator nearby who has an interest in trafficking of which you are unaware. Ask around, and find out.

John Vanek

John Vanek is a leadership, collaboration, and anti-human trafficking consultant and speaker working with law enforcement agencies, non-governmental and community-based organizations, academic institutions and private sector companies. John served 25 years with the San Jose Police Department (retiring in the rank of lieutenant), holds a Master of Arts in Leadership, and is an Adjunct Professor in the Graduate School of International Policy and Management at the Monterey Institute of International Studies.
