RALEIGH, N.C. — Police are investigating after an officer confronted a teen who wrote “F the police” on his cruiser, ABC 11 reported.

Sgt. Brian Scioli confronted the suspected vandal after finding the message on his patrol vehicle parked in his driveway.

“You better get in that car before I put my hands on you right now,” Scioli said to the teen in the video.

“You put your hands on me, that’s assault,” the teen said.

The teen taunted the officer that he would sue him, so Scioli encouraged the teen to call his parents.

When the teen was talking to his father on the phone, his father convinced him to apologize.

Police officials said they are aware of the incident and told the news site they would investigate the officer’s conduct.
