This year, thousands gathered at the National Mall during the 35th Candlelight Vigil. During the annual Police Week ceremony, law enforcement officers, family members of the fallen and supporters from across the country mourned and honored the 556 officers who were added to the National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial wall.
A full calendar of events were also held throughout the week from May 10-16, including the National Police K-9 Memorial Service, Police Unity Tour and National Peace Officers Memorial Service. Below are scenes from the week's commemorative events. If you have any photos or videos from Police Week, email us at editor@police1.com and we will add them to our roundup.
