KLAMATH FALLS, Ore. — A deputy was shot during a traffic stop Wednesday and is currently in serious but stable condition.
According to the KOIN, Deputy Jason Weber, a seven-year veteran of the force, was conducting a traffic stop when he was shot in the face and side before taking cover.
After a lengthy manhunt involving multiple agencies, 30-year-old William Jack Parkerson was taken into custody early Thursday.
A second suspect, 33-year-old Karey Leigh Pascoe, was arrested a few hours later, according to the report.
Parkerson is charged with attempted aggravated murder with a firearm and first-degree assault with a firearm. Pascoe is also facing similar charges.
The details of the traffic stop have yet to be released. The deputy was transported to a hospital in critical condition Wednesday and is undergoing surgery Thursday.
