RED BLUFF, Calif. — Body-worn camera footage shows officers responding to a shooting last month at a Walmart distribution center that left two dead, including the gunman, and at least four others injured.

According to the Tehama County Sheriff’s Office, 31-year-old Louis Lane crashed his SUV into the distribution center and began firing a semiautomatic rifle indiscriminately at the dozens of employees in the area on the afternoon of June 27.

A critical incident video briefing released by the Red Bluff Police Department, shows two officers approaching Lane, who is hiding between two parked vehicles in the parking lot. Lane was already engaged in an exchange of gunfire with another officer when the video begins, according to Action News Now.

The Tehama County district attorney said that police were justified in shooting Lane, who later died of his injuries.
