ARLINGTON, Texas — With the help of the Arlington Police Department and Arlington Fire Department, a 7-year-old suffering from leukemia was able to dress as Batman and save his city from a series of fake threats and villains from the famous franchise.
The Texas boy requested a day as Batman through the charity A Wish With Wings. He dressed up like the superhero to fight others dressed as Riddler and Joker who pretended to rob a bank and plant a bomb. His friends played Robin and a damsel in distress.
The good guys won, of course, and the boy — Kye — received a key to the city. “I got to do all kinds of things, to chase the villains,” he said.
