Range Strategies has unveiled its new Unpredictor Target System, a gun-handling training system.
The Unpredictor Target System simulates realistic gunfights with multiple threats, unpredictable behavior and variable neutralizing shot requirements during a timed event, according to a press release. It is currently in use by U.S. Special Operations Forces and several law enforcement agencies.
The system teaches gun-handling skills, discrimination and when it is appropriate to shoot. It has an automated steel target system that allows the user to realistically simulate gunfights. The hit-counting steel targets are accompanied by a control system that can simulate various scenarios such as gangs, mobs, and riots.
The Unpredictor works by requiring the shooter to: discover the threat, drive the gun to the threat, work the gun until the threat is neutralized and repeat as needed as quickly as possible. A timer keeps track of progress with how quickly each threat is neutralized.
The seven pre-programmed behaviors are: Solo Sequence, True Random, Gang, Mob, Riot and Duel. Targets can be modified in each of these behavior simulations.
The Unpredictor comes with a handheld remote, control box, actuator, target box, ⅜ inch AR5000 steel target heads and armored target stands.
