If you are a firearms instructor, be sure you are teaching all the basics, not just some of them. I had been a police officer for over 15 years before anyone explained the importance of grip and taught me the correct grip when shooting a handgun. I was on the job for nearly 20 years before follow through was clearly taught. Today I still see officers violating many of the basic safety rules (number one being finger on the trigger too soon). All this “good stuff” should not be reserved for just the S.W.A.T. cops. Lets be safe out there.
