ATLANTA — Police detained two men after a shooting involving a Georgia State Capitol police officer, authorities said Wednesday afternoon.
The injured officer was grazed in the head by a bullet and was rushed to Grady Memorial Hospital, according to Channel 2’s Richard Elliot at the scene. His condition was not known.
Officers secured a location in the 300 block of Edgewood Avenue, near the downtown connector, said Elliot who witnessed police running with guns drawn as he arrived at the shooting scene.
