JACKSON, Miss. ? A Jackson police officer was seriously injured Thursday morning after his motorcycle collided with a state Department of Corrections van. Officer Warren Hull, a 27-year veteran, was being treated Friday at University of Mississippi Medical Center. Hull suffered a broken fibula and pelvis, said police spokesman Robert Graham. The accident occurred at 9:20 a.m. as Hull was responding to a traffic accident. ?Moments before the accident, he swerved to avoid hitting a pedestrian attempting to cross the street,? said Graham. ?He continued south on Gallatin and struck a van making a left-hand turn into the parking lot of the state?s probation offices.? The driver of the van, Tasha Davis, 29, was not injured. Mississippi Department of Corrections and the Jackson Police Department were investigating the accident
