ARAPAHOE, Colo. — A Colorado deputy died this week while on duty due to a health crisis, according to the Arapahoe County Sheriff’s Office.

KDVR News reported that Deputy Kraig Conger had a major heart attack while on duty on Dec. 28.

The Arapahoe County Sheriff’s Office released a tweet on Thursday confirming the death of Conger.

“Kraig, you will be missed but never forgotten,” ACSO officials said. “Rest easy friend, we have the watch from here.”

Conger worked for the sheriff’s office for 22 years and was 51.

The troopers, identified as Michael Abbate and Alberto Felix, were both husbands and fathers
“Sgt. Ashley Harkins swiftly and skillfully climbed over the safety fence, putting herself in a perilous position on the narrow ledge above the chilly, flowing river,” State Police wrote in a statement
Officers shot the suspect after he opened fire at them with an AK-47 rifle; he was pronounced dead at the scene
“Bane did a wonderful job working for us. I cannot explain enough how much Bane did for this community,” said Sedgwick County Sheriff Jeff Easter
