Video: Mich. police shoot, wound man who points long gun at officers

The officers hit the suspect twice and he suffered non-life-threatening wounds

LIVONIA, Mich. — Police shot and wounded a suspect who aimed a long firearm at officers during a traffic stop, FOX 2 reported.

On April 10, officers pulled over a suspected DUI driver and when they approached the car, he pointed a firearm at them.

“Put that thing away!” the officer said in the video as both of them returned fire.

The officers hit the suspect twice and he suffered non-life-threatening wounds.

He was charged with felonious assault, felony firearm, felon in possession of a firearm, assaulting-resisting an officer and driving while intoxicated.

He is being held on a million dollar bond.
