“You can’t kill me!” the man can be heard saying.

Officers encountered the man in the motel driveway, where he brandished two guns and shot at them. Officers returned fire, and the man retreated into the motel, refusing to surrender.

A SWAT team was called, and officers later found the man wounded at the bottom of a stairwell.

The man was pronounced dead at the scene, according to the report. The LAPD stated that the air pistol and air rifle were both capable of “firing metallic rounds of ammunition,” according to a critical incident release.
