STOCKTON, Calif. — Police chased a suspect from rooftop to rooftop, used a Taser and eventually a K-9 officer to take a parolee at large into custody about 4:15 p.m. Tuesday.

Police officers tried to arrest Larry McDonald, who is on parole for robbery and is considered a high risk parolee.

McDonald fled from officers into his house in the 100 block of North Aurora Street. He climbed out a bedroom window and onto the roof, jumping to the roof of a neighboring body shop.

There, U.S. marshals used a Taser on him. He fell down and removed the prong, then continued fleeing officers. He jumped onto another building, then fled south on Aurora.

K-9 Cain was dispatched, who captured McDonald near Market and Aurora streets.

McDonald, 32, was arrested on a parole violation and on suspicion of resisting arrest. He was taken to a local hospital for treatment of injuries sustained during the arrest and was pre-booked there.
