DELTONA, Fla. — A 55-year-old Deltona man was arrested Saturday afternoon for alleged aggravated stalking of a 6-year-old, according to the Volusia Sheriff’s Office.

The 6-year-old girl’s father reported Mark Greenburg, who was his neighbor, to the Sheriff’s Office Friday evening and said the 55-year-old made comments to the girl, including, “I’m going to make you famous” and “I’m going to turn you into a woman,” according to the Volusia Sheriff’s Office.

The father also told Volusia deputies that the comments were getting worse and more frequent, the Sheriff’s Office said.

On Thursday and Friday evenings, the 6-year-old was at her grandmother’s house in a different neighborhood when Greenburg was reported to be parked outside taking pictures, the Volusia Sheriff’s Office said.

Over the past eight months, the Volusia Sheriff’s Office has received 11 complaints about Greenburg harassing neighbors, yelling at them and their kids using a megaphone, and driving past houses while recording children on his phone, according to the Sheriff’s Office.

Following the father’s call to the Volusia Sheriff’s Office, the deputies attempted to talk to Greenburg, but he did not open his front door, according to the Sheriff’s Office.

With a search warrant, deputies with the Deltona Crime Suppression Team returned on Saturday and arrested Greenburg without incident and delivered him to the Volusia County Branch Jail, where he is in custody on a $5,000 bond, the Sheriff’s Office said.
