This parrot is no stool pigeon.

Police in northern Brazil have taken a parrot into custody whom they believe was warning crack dealers of impending raids, according to the Guardian, which cited reports in the Brazilian press.

The bird would shout “Mum, the police!” when cops got near, the report claimed.

The parrot was pinched during a Monday raid on a small drug den in Vila Irma Dulce, Brazil. A local couple was said to be running that business.

“He must be trained for this,” an officer surmised.

The bird’s name is not known and, so far, police haven’t heard a peep from their feathered prisoner.

“So far it hasn’t made a sound... completely silent,” one Brazilian reporter claimed.

A Brazilian veterinarian identified as Alexandre Clark confirmed that Polly wouldn’t crack.

“Lots of police officers have come by and he’s said nothing,” Carl is quoted saying.

One report claims the parrot will serve three months in a local zoo before being turned loose. He reportedly needs to learn to fly.
