GILMER COUNTY, Ga. — Officers wrangled an unusual group of four-legged trespassers found in a stranger’s yard in Georgia, according to deputies.

A herd of “friendly” goats escaped from their owner and were found 14 miles away from home, the Gilmer County Sheriff’s Office said in a May 4 news release.

“How they pulled off that level of hoof-powered Houdini magic? We have no idea!” deputies said in the release.

With help from the community, deputies said they learned where the goats came from and reunited them with their owner.

“Got the hoofed hooligans safely wrangled and personally delivered back to their owner,” deputies said.

Gilmer County is about a 75-mile drive north from Atlanta.
