Video: Mob jumps on cruiser with St. Louis officer inside

ST. LOUIS — The St. Louis Police Department on Monday released video of an intense scene: a raucous crowd surrounding a police cruiser with an officer trapped inside. Multiple people repeatedly jump on the hood, causing the car to shake. 

The agency released both bystander video and the footage from the officer’s body camera. The officer was uninjured but there was extensive damage to the cruiser, according to FOX 2. 

Police told FOX 2 that they had received more than a dozen calls about a large party in the area. The crowd had grown to about 100 people, police said. 

Now, the agency is asking for help identifying the suspects.
