STUART, Fla. — A man looking to buy and sell drugs accidentally texted a narcotic captain, according to a Martin County Sheriff’s Office Facebook post.

When William Lamberson, 29, wanted a “hook up” to buy and sell illegal drugs, he began texting his contacts. In the spree of texts, one was a misdial to the Martin County Sheriff’s Narcotics Unit captain.

The captain exchanged a series of texts with Lamberson until a cocaine transaction was scheduled.

When Lamberson went to meet up with his connection so he could sell the cocaine, he was greeted by narcotics detectives.

Lamberson was charged with possession of a controlled substance with intent to sell.
