Situated in the heart of Washington, D.C., the National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial serves as a tribute to the brave men and women who have sacrificed their lives in the line of duty.

The memorial features the names of over 23,000 officers engraved on its curved marble walls. Designed by architect Davis Buckley, the memorial includes a reflective pool and pathways, symbolizing the ongoing dedication of law enforcement. Sculptures of lions, emblems of strength and guardianship, oversee the names of the fallen.

Each year in May, during National Police Week, thousands converge at the memorial. Families, friends and fellow officers participate in a touching ceremony that includes the addition of new names to the memorial, reaffirming a collective commitment to never forget their sacrifices.

The National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial is more than a monument; it symbolizes the courage and daily sacrifices of law enforcement officers. Learn more about the National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial here.
