Texas trooper killed in fiery crash

Trooper Jerry Adamick was a United States Army veteran and had served with the Texas Department of Public Safety - Texas Highway Patrol for one year

SAN JACINTO COUNTY, Texas — A Texas Department of Public Safety trooper was killed in a crash near the San Jacinto River Bridge, KHOU reported.

The fatal incident occurred while Trooper Jerry Adamick was reportedly responding to a vehicle crash. Montgomery County.

Judge Mark Keough said the trooper’s patrol car veered off the roadway, struck a tree, and then caught fire, resulting in the trooper’s death.

The loss has sparked an outpouring of grief from across the law enforcement community. Harris County Sheriff Ed Gonzalez shared his condolences on social media.

“Our thoughts, prayers and deepest condolences are with the Trooper’s family, friends, and every member of the @TxDPS family as they face this devastating loss,” Gonzalez said.

Adamick was a United States Army veteran and had served with the Texas Department of Public Safety - Texas Highway Patrol for one year, according to the Officer Down Memorial Page. He is survived by his wife and five children.
