Dash cam video shows the officer’s cruiser moving quickly down a road with little traffic. As she approached a stoplight, cars can be seen moving through the intersection. The officer then appeared to continue at full speed into the intersection.

The officer’s cruiser can be seen colliding with a white pickup truck. Both drivers were hospitalized, but the driver of the truck was pronounced dead shortly after, according to the report. The officer was treated and released.

The Ohio State Highway Patrol is leading an investigation into the crash, with the Columbus Division of Police pledging full cooperation, according to the report.
